Please note that our products are natural and we do not use harmful chemicals, unnatural preservatives or synthetic ingredients, therefore it’s important to understand they will certainly have a shorter shelf life and colors will vary from batch to batch. We like to follow the FDA guidelines since they regulate cosmetics and skincare, so we recommend if unused, you throw them out after 6 months. Oils such as the hydra-cell with squalane, or our eye and night cream with avocado butter and jojoba, will all last up to a year. We suggest you always use with clean hands or spatula if product is in a container or jar with lid, keep products out of direct sunlight, out of humidity and the lids tight. Understand that water and humidity can cause bacteria or mold to form so if there is a noticeable difference in smell or you notice an “odor” that is unusual, you need to throw it out immediately. Products containing vitamin c and natural glycolic acids will oxidize over time and therefore obviously change color. These ingredients have a shorter shelf life of 3-6 months, depending on the environment they’re kept in and/or if air is getting inside the container.
